Artist's Statement
"My work reflects the myriad ups and downs of life - loss, elation, disappointment, wonder, sadness, love. There is a story in all of my pieces. The challenges in life are always present and hopefully can be transformed into something beautiful. Fragments of detritus that have been walked on, driven over, crushed and twisted, are symbols of struggle and survival. By combining them with classical elements, I create a different context for these humble objects. When I succeed, they become works of art."
